In 2005, I was fortunate enough to participate in an Honor Guard project started by a Delta colleague at our hub in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He felt that the transport of the remains of those who had given the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country should receive a high level of honor and respect as their journeys were made to their final resting place.
european train tours Military service is something near and dear to me and my Delta colleagues. Many of us have served or have family members that are in active service or who have served previously. I've found that this is the case with our customers too. The Honor Guard conducts plane side flag ceremonies with specially-themed ground equipment as these fallen heroes are moved onto Delta aircraft.
Just a few weeks ago, a few colleagues and I watched over the transport of recently identified remains of a U.S. serviceman who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Korean War and was making the journey to his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery.
Many of these transports involve an escort from an active member of the military. These escorts and their families often share their gratitude with us. We often hear from customers who express their appreciation for the Honor Guards they see during their travels. While we appreciate hearing the thanks, those of us on the Honor Guard do this from the heart and not with the intent european train tours to receive anything in return.
What we helped start in Atlanta seven years ago has spread to many other airports in theU.S.I'm proud that so many of my Delta colleagues are committed to see that the proper respect and tribute is paid to our women and men in uniform when making their final journey.
I purchased a round-trip ticket a few weeks ago with my Delta Sky Miles and received an email a few days indicating the travel times for my itinerary had changed. Due to this, I asked Delta Customer Service Representatives on the phone to cancel my reservation (GAF7TL), but have been told they want $150 to do so and re-deposit the miles into my account.
I have been a life-long loyal customer to Delta but when I purchase a specific round-trip flight and the airline changes the itinerary and flight times, I feel as though I should be able to cancel and receive a sky-miles refund without a hassle or without Delta profiting from their schedule change.
After speaking with your Sky-miles customer service department today, I filed complaints with the BBB Internet Crime Complaint Center. european train tours I hope someone at Delta is able to look past the fine print and do the right thing for their customer. Today marks the new worst customer service experience I ve ever had thanks Delta!
