Tamarindo Beach Costa Rica Annual pet airline travel Marathon For the sixth year running, Tamarindo, Costa Rica, will be the host of one of the most important athletic events in the country, the Tamarind Beach Marathon, which will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012.
Being certified by the AIMS and authorized by the IAAF, the Tamarindo Beach marathon attracts hundreds of athletes from all over Costa Rica as well as other parts of the world such as Kenya, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, USA, and Europe.
The 42k, 30k, and 21k events start in Tamarindo downtown and head towards the outskirts of the Pampa. The run begins at 5AM so that participants can enjoy a nice and pleasant weather. The 10k event begins half and hour later.
Meanwhile, the 5k event will take place at 3PM on the beach in front of the Tamarindo Diria Hotel and consists of a 5 k loop that starts and finishes in the starting point. This is a recreational race thought for amateur and experienced runners who want to take the challenge of running on sand and simply enjoy this great sport.
