I love, love, love the fact that we have so many amazing venues right here in Wine Country.  But a restored mansion set in the midst of a large, gorgeous, landscaped garden name your own price airline ticket and lawn?  who would have thought???
Purely accidental after an event coordinator gave notice and we had weddings scheduled within weeks.  After moments of panic, the " I can do this " took over and I have been in love with it ever since!  My experiences in nursing; flowers nurseries; golf course operations and food service gave me a valuable background. Nice people in the event business gave helpful answers to my questions, and of course every event is a new learning experience.  Most importantly, my husband of 38 years is my best friend partner, and so incredibly nice and helpful.

I cannot think of only one favorite part of working on a wedding . I enjoy so much meeting and working with the bride groom, assisting them in having that very special day as perfect as possible.  To be part of such an important process – I feel honored.
Of course the time and effort to prepare for the day is quickly forgotten; we enjoy  the ceremonies, dances, laughter and happy faces – it is like having name your own price airline ticket a great party at our home.  A bonus is that Greg and I have a good time and friendships develop with our clients and the wedding professionals.

I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have my wedding at the Mansion at the Bayou Golf Course. Irmi is incredibly hospitable and worked so hard to make sure everything was just perfect for our wedding. The grounds are flawlessly maintained and I ve yet to find a more beautiful location for a wedding. The beauty of the Mansion and grounds alone made choosing the Mansion a great decision, but the personal attention Irmi gave to us made choosing the Mansion the best wedding-related decision we made.
