With the Easter weekend beginning today did you know that the Church was responsible for creating many of the great vineyards rental car lax in Bordeaux? The Château takes its name from Pope Clement V who was presented with the estate in the 1300s upon his appointment as archbishop of Bordeaux, by his brother Berald. Pape Clement remained in the possession of archbishops of Bordeaux until the French Revolution.
The Saint Emilion First Growth Chateau Angélus takes its name from the pealing of the 3 Angélus church rental car lax bells from the surrounding churches and chapels, which the workers in the vineyards could hear as they toiled. De Hartes was purchased in 1972 by Charles Mallet, owner of Toutigeac – and one time owner of the famous Chateau Lascombes in Margaux. Charles Mallet built up a very successful wine business after the First World War and was actually the biggest supplier of wines to Paris at that time. The potential he saw at de Hartes is being realised by his great great grand daughter, Oriane Mazeau, rental car lax who is a talented young winemaker.

Chateau de Hartes 2009 is a lovely claret made distinctive by its superb structure. It has floral aromas of violets with flavours of ripe blackcurrant, damson, blackberry, spices, rental car lax herbs and a hint of pepper. With velvety tannins this is a complex and supple claret that will age well. Particularly good with food de Hartes will compliment roast beef, sirloin steak, rich casseroles, game pie, venison, rabbit, pheasant, partridge, duck and strong cheeses.
