On behalf of the Grand Council hotels myrtle beach of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity, we are excited to provide the Registration Form for our 2013 Grand Chapter Meeting hotels myrtle beach and Convention, celebrating over 103 Years of Friendship, Chivalry and Service. Tau Epsi­lon Phi s 2013 Grand Chapter Meeting and Convention will be held October hotels myrtle beach 24-27, 2013 in Washington DC at the Washington Marriott, located hotels myrtle beach at 1221 22nd Street NW, Washington DC 20037-1203.
As identified in the TEΦ Constitution, the Grand Chapter Meeting occurs once every two years for the organization to conduct its official elections of our Grand Council Officers hotels myrtle beach and to review and/or update the organization s legislative work.  The opportunity for the membership to elect its officers and review the Constitution and Statutory Code is of upmost importance to the Organization.  Furthermore, this weekend provides the forum to bring TEΦ s together, which is paramount hotels myrtle beach to the future of this Fraternity.
Each Undergraduate Chapter and Alumni Club in good standing will be represented by a Delegate.  Each Delegate will be recognized and approved by the Credentials hotels myrtle beach Committee and will vote on behalf of their respective Chapter or Club on all official business conducted throughout the Grand Chapter Meeting. hotels myrtle beach Delegates from a majority of the Undergraduate Chapters present constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. A majority vote of the members of the Grand Chapter present shall be binding as the law of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity, Inc.
This weekend provides the ultimate transparency and opportunity hotels myrtle beach for all TEΦ Undergraduates, Alumni and the Volunteer Leadership of The Grand Council of Tau Epsilon Phi and The TEΦ Foundation, Inc. to come together and interact for a weekend full of leadership seminars and networking with TEΦ s from across the world. hotels myrtle beach  And following the Election of Officers on Saturday, attendees will have an opportunity to meet with those individuals charged with running the Fraternity for the next two years.
Through our business sessions, attendees will hear updated information and accomplishments over the recent two years from the International Consul (President) of the Fraternity, a financial report from our International Quaestor (Treasurer) and an update from our International Undergraduate Vice Consul regarding an Undergraduate Update.  Additionally, Delegates hotels myrtle beach will vote on the future leadership of the Fraternity and review the legislation brought before hotels myrtle beach the Grand Chapter.
Through interactive leadership seminars, amazing speakers will talk on a variety of topics for participation of both Undergraduates and Alumni.  It is our hope that many of the themes of the seminars will provide an array of new information for both groups.  It will be through open forum discussion at the conclusion of each Seminar for all attendees to share their personal experiences and proven examples of ideas that have been successful at their respective campus.
In addition to the business of the Grand Chapter Meeting, we have planned outside activities hotels myrtle beach at a Dinner Cruise on the Spirit of Washington, an outstanding Awards Ceremony and Banquet Dinner and numerous breaks to allow our participants to network with each other.  It is also our belief hotels myrtle beach that one on one conversation and events outside of the Seminars also promote important dialogue, not always provided for in a classroom setting. Please join us Thursday Evening from 7:30 9:30 in the Georgetown Room located on the First Floor of the Hotel for a Meet and Greet of all attendees and local Alumni.  This will set the stage for relationship building amongst all TEΦ s, a chance to reunite our Undergraduates since our Conclave in April and the opportunity for our Alumni to reflect on their days at TEΦ.
We will open the Grand Chapter Meeting on Friday Morning with an introduction of Grand Chapter Leadership, followed by a Roll Call of all Chapters and Alumni Clubs. Each Chapter and Alumni Club will be expected to provide pictures to use for their Introduction followed by Welcome during Roll Call.  For the remainder of Friday, Seminars will be provided hotels myrtle beach by Willis Insurance Company on Risk Management and Insurance with an emphasis on our Policies, a Seminar provided by The Men s Warehouse, a Seminar on Financial Accountability and the IRS and Open Forum Discussions on the Best Programs of Each Chapter have been planned (however, the schedule may be subject to change).  Additional  topics such as the National Fraternity Overview, Chapter Financial Management, Risk Management and Insurance, Rush and Recruitment, New Member Education, Brotherhood hotels myrtle beach Development, Ritual and Alumni Relations will also be discussed to aid the undergraduate leadership with its chapter duties and responsibilities as an officer or member of the organization.
Following our Seminars and a Break, we will all depart the Hotel for a Three Hour Dinner cruise aboard hotels myrtle beach the Spirit of Washington.  Enjoy breathtaking views of the Potomac River, a grand buffet, attentive service, interactive DJ s, and the expansive open air decks with your fellow Undergraduates or Alumni.  At the conclusion of the Dinner, we will return to the Hotel for Time on your own.
Saturday Morning begins our Grand Chapter Official hotels myrtle beach Business Meeting.  As noted above, this is the time for our International Consul to provide a State of the Fraternity Report, followed by our International Questator (Treasurer) and concluded with our Undergraduate Vice-Consul providing a State of the Undergraduates Report.  Following these Reports, we will conduct the Elections for the Grand Council, followed hotels myrtle beach by our Legislation Work which will include voting on Amendments to our Constitution.

After our Officers have been elected for their two year term and the official business has been completed, we will provide a Break to allow everyone to prepare for our Banquet Dinner and Awards Banquet.  Due to the proximity of this Meeting to the Maryland and Virginia areas, we eagerly welcome all Alumni to join us as we also recognize distinguished guests and former Honorees.

For this Grand Chapter Meeting and Convention, it is our hope that each Chancellor and Bursar will attend on behalf of each chapter. Should the Chan­cel­lor not be able to attend (and approved in advance with the International Con­sul), we will ask for the next Senior Board Mem­ber to attend. How­ever, we are ask­ing for each chap­ter to send as many Board Mem­bers and Emerg­ing Lead­ers as pos­si­ble.  To aid our chapter leadership, TEΦ National will spon­sor hotels myrtle beach up to two lead­ers from each chap­ter at no charge.
It is our hope that our Alumni from across the country will join us and participate in this historic weekend.  Alumni have been the cornerstone of this organization and we welcome any and all Alumni to participate with us. It is our hope that Alumni will join us for the entire weekend of events. Our 2013 Grand Chapter Meeting and Convention will conclude on Sunday with each chapter having an opportunity to meet one on one with our Leadership, an overview of the topics and themes of the weekend and good and welfare to end our time together on a positive note.
