Peter Hulburt, manager and principal owner of PKH Cambridge Hotel LP II, officially broke ground for a 71-room Sleep Inn & Suites property to be located at 2211 Southgate Parkway, next to Comfort Inn, also principally owned and managed by Peter Hulburt Family Partners, LP.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held May 20 at the construction site with: Peter and Kathie Hulburt of PKH Cambridge Hotel II LP; John Davis, Ron Van Way and Mike Bless of Cambridge-based Davis Architectural Group; Joe Potter, Mark Ludwig, Don Clark and Walt Beatty of RICOP-General Contractors; Megan Bradison, general manager of Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn & Suites; President Jo Sexton of the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce-President; Debbie Robinson of the Cambridge/Guernsey County Visitor and Convention Bureau-Director; Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr; Norm Blanchard of the Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation; State Representative Brian Hill; Anthony Adornetto, aide to Congressman Bill Johnson; colorado family travel president Fred O'Dell of North Valley Bank and Vice President Stuart Schloss of Heartland Bank,who jointly financed the project; Bill Bennett and Connie Baker of Knowlton & Bennett attending the event.
