Hey CAP rising seniors! Want the opportunity to visit an out-of-state college for absolutely FREE ? Then check out the below college visitation programs for 2014! Each of these elite colleges offers participants an all-expense-paid trip to the campus including airfare, transportation, accommodations, and food. These programs offer students department state travel a chance to tour the campus, meet faculty, interview with the college, and explore what life will be like as a college freshman.
These free programs fill up fast, so be sure to apply early. Students will typically need to submit an online application, transcripts, standardized test scores and/or letters of recommendation in order to be considered.
Barnard Bound provides a glimpse of both the college and New York City for promising young women in their senior department state travel year of high school who self-identify as students of color (African department state travel American/Latino/Asian/Native America/multiracial) and especially for those who couldn’t otherwise afford to visit. Participants spend the first two days touring parts of Manhattan and then return to campus to get a feel for student life and to learn more about Barnard. The program also introduces students to important details about our admissions and financial aid processes.
The Dartmouth Bound Program provides participants with insight into what life is like at Dartmouth, as well as information about the admissions and financial aid process. Program highlights include seminars, tours, and financial department state travel aid workshops. All students accepted into the program have their transportation costs covered.
Students selected department state travel to visit Amherst for a DIVOH weekend will receive 100% of round-trip transportation costs (airline, bus, or train) for DIVOH attendance and will be hosted on campus by current students. A fee waiver of the $60 application fee is provided to all students invited to attend a DIVOH weekend. The Diversity Open Houses are available to all prospective students, but the DIVOH selection committee prioritizes the invitation of students from traditionally under-represented groups, such as African-American, Hispanic/Latino American, Native American, and Asian-American backgrounds, as well as first-generation students. department state travel To support socio-economic diversity, the selection committee will also prioritize students from families with limited financial resources.

This program is highly selective, with only 75 spots available, so sign up early! Program is completely free of charge.
Colby values diversity of all kinds and seeks to enroll students who also value diversity. For this free program, prospective students will get to stay overnight in a dorm, attend classes and meet professors, tour the campus, and meet current students.
The FAST program is intended to allow students traditionally underrepresented in the STEM fields (science/technology/engineering/math) a chance to experience life at Harvey Mudd College. Participants of learn the benefits of pursing a technology degree and get to experience first-hand what life at a residential college is like. The program includes classes, discussions, a chance to talk to upperclassmen in STEM fields and is absolutely free.
Offers high-achieving department state travel students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to visit the Bowdoin campus. Bowdoin covers the entire cost of the trip, including all transportation and meals. Participants will stay with current students in campus housing, attend classes, receive department state travel personal admissions interviews, and attend information session on admissions department state travel and financial aid. This year’s October program will coincide with Bowdoin’s Science Symposium and will feature an alumni in the health professions panel.
