New Orleans has  more bars per capita  than any other major metro area in the US.  No matter where you are in the Crescent royal caribbean cruise ships City, you don t have to go far to find a drink.  But oftentimes people royal caribbean cruise ships are visiting from out of town, and they need to catch their team s big game.  Watching sports away from home can be a stressful experience, especially if it s doubtful that the average bar will be featuring your game.  Rest assured, royal caribbean cruise ships I got your go-to list of options right here.
Ask a local for a good sports bar, and  Cooter Brown s  is going to be the first suggestion.  Cooter Brown s has been around since forever, and it is a mainstay.  A little funky and rough around the edges, this has been the quintessential New Orleans sports royal caribbean cruise ships bar for generations.
Dozens of TVs with every sports cable package royal caribbean cruise ships imaginable.  Spend some time here and you will master the art of watching five games simultaneously.  Some of the best bar food I have ever tasted in my life.  Solid raw oyster bar.  Good beer selection, with reasonably priced pitchers.
Some people like this out of a bar, so it could be a positive, but Cooter Brown s is dark, smoky, and it feels like a musky man cave.  I have gone into this cavern of a bar many times for an early game and drowned the day away.  Again, I m not sure this is a bad thing.
Walk On s Bistreaux and Bar  is a Baton Rouge based bar/restaurant.  Founded by a couple of former LSU walk-on royal caribbean cruise ships basketball players, this place has the feel that most people would expect out of a sports bar.
Lots of TVs with sports packages galore.  Some of the tables have their own beer taps, which could be dangerous royal caribbean cruise ships to your liver and wallet.  The menu features a lot of Louisiana-style food options, such as blackened alligator, boudin balls, gumbo, etc.  Reminds me of their main location in Baton Rouge close to LSU s Tiger Stadium, so I always get in a party mood whenever I m here.  Non-smoking.
The atmosphere royal caribbean cruise ships feels very much like a chain restaurant (think Outback / Buffalo Wild Wings).  The food is solid, but not spectacular.  The all female wait staff is chosen mainly for their looks, and their service is generally sub-par.  But I suppose a lot of guys prefer looks over service.
Think of this as a higher end version of Walk On s.  The food options are heavy on local Louisiana dishes, but the dishes are more refined, such as a grilled redfish, bisque, ribeye etc.  The bar features stadium royal caribbean cruise ships seats and a mammoth TV that takes up an entire wall very cool.  Occasionally, you will see Archie Manning hanging around.  Solid beer selection.  Non-smoking.
This is a casino bar, so like Walk On s, you feel like you are in a chain.  While it looks like a New Orleans-y place from the outside, it lacks that patina of wear and tear that gives this city its charm.  The prices are definitely on the high side for food and drink (entrees are in the $20 s).  And if you want those stadium seats, you have to pay a hefty sum to reserve them.
Bayou Beer Garden  is tucked away in Mid-City out of reach of most tourists.  This is very much a local bar with a younger royal caribbean cruise ships clientele.  It is built into an old bungalow house, and it has the vibe of classic New Orleans.
When you think of New Orleans atmosphere, royal caribbean cruise ships this is it.  Also, the huge patio out back is a great spot when the weather is right.   Bayou Beer Garden s beer selection , as the name implies, is pretty massive.  Plus, they always have solid bucket deals.  While food service can sometimes be slow, they make solid bar food for a great price etc.
If you are visiting from out of town, you will probably royal caribbean cruise ships have to take a taxicab royal caribbean cruise ships get here.  The interior is very smoky, so if it s raining/freezing cold on the patio then you will have some issues.  They don t have as many TVs as the other bars listed, and it is less likely that you will find an obscure game.  On a big local sports weekend (think LSU or Saints games), you will be hard pressed to find anything else on the screen.
Metairie is the closest suburb to New Orleans.  For an out-of-towner, royal caribbean cruise ships simply getting here will be difficult.  However, Metairie has several great sports bars, such as Hurricane s, JR s, Out of Bounds, etc.  I have been to Sidelines a couple times.  While Sidelines is very small and quiet, they are non-smoking, have great beer deals, and make an very good hamburger.
