We all met for breakfast at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel this morning.  We were both starving because we hadn t eaten in 24 hours there was so much food at  Club 33 , neither of us were in the mood for anything else and couldn t bring myself to even have a snack by midnight.  This was the last meal we were able to enjoy with everyone, including Ashly s mom and step-dad, cruise line jobs Linda and Chuck.
The Steakhouse 55 restaurant is highly renowned on list of historical Disney institutions.  It was originally operated under the name Granville s and for decades, it was  the fine dining restaurant at Disneyland. cruise line jobs  It came to occupy a lower place as a few other establishments opened but was reportedly just as good as it ever was.  It s one of those things everyone is supposed to experience, and I love breakfast, so I was excited.
Though I have no proof at the moment, cruise line jobs I m presuming that the reference to the number 55 in the name is an allusion to the grand opening of the Disneyland park on July 17th, 1955?  All I remember from the biographies and news articles I ve read over the years is that the day was a complete disaster .  Walt Disney cruise line jobs opened the park at 2:30 p.m., and instead of the 20,000 guests expected, 35,000 showed up after it was discovered a counterfeiter cruise line jobs had been printing fake tickets and selling them for $1.  There were only 20 rides and several of them broke down, the ferryboat sank after too many people got onboard, there was a gas leak in Fantasyland, the plumbers were on strike so the water fountains didn t work, it was more than 100 degrees and high heels would break off in the asphalt.  It was a customer service and public relations nightmare.  I think they also ran out of Coca-Cola.
We re heading off to the Magic Kingdom.  Aaron and I didn t get Fast Passes to the new cars ride, so Chuck and Linda gave us theirs, which we both appreciated.  It s supposed to be awesome.  Everyone is talking about it; we ll get to see tonight!
2. I actually remember thinking, Man, Josh isn t taking any pictures of this meal. That is weird. You stuck in an HTML tag, which seemed to trigger something. I removed it and the problem appeared to be solved. Yet, the html shouldn t matter but it is so restrictive, it is even holding my comments for moderation when I include it! I have to literally take myself out of the spam folder even though I am the super administrator. It s glitchy beyond all words since the latest Disqus cruise line jobs update.
