PS I can get a car from Hertz for $500 if I book outside DFW and return the car to DFW. However, we want to hit the road the minute we land, and we don't want to mess around travel europe with a taxi to an off-site rental office.

Thanks. I checked for the first 18 days in November and got the same rate you got for the Aveo at Advantage. However, when I entered November 23-December 11 the rate went to $569 for the economy car and $586 for the mid-size car we want.
However, by sending me to Expedia you helped me find a deal at Alamo--a Corolla travel europe for $644 from Alamo, which is $58 more than Advantage travel europe (a company that worries me) and $91 less than the best deal I could get from Hertz.
We've rented from Advantage in the past and they are fine. The bigger issue for me would be renting outside DFW and having to get there!! Especially if you want to hit the road right away, I just would not want to do that!

You bid on the size car you want and location, (in airport or out), you can see the price, just not the company until you complete travel europe your selection. It is a considerable savings, and we've never been disappointed!!
