As soon as you enter the hotel, you can sense that things were done tastefully and not garish; this is evident in the colors used and with the different art pieces all around the property; anchored by this giant chandelier/art installation in the middle of the lobby.....
If you are thinking of asking for a status los angeles county animal shelter match, to maybe get a suite upgrade and the $100 dining credit, I tried doing the same but the hotel does not status match with other programs. Every little (free) thing is definitely appreciated.....
And that was it. The room was okay. Nothing special but at par with the rooms being offered by their closest competitors in the area (Shangri-La and Peninsula). In that respect, since this hotel cannot compete with the Shangri-La los angeles county animal shelter or Peninsula (the former's most especially) in terms of the breakfast buffet offerings, los angeles county animal shelter maybe they can harp on the quality of their food instead -- like the ingredients, it being "healthy", "all-natural", or what have you. It is either they make their buffet "grander" or make it more unique/special.

I was happy when news came that the Fairmont was opening a property in the Philippines. I was really only made aware of this brand (sad to admit) when I started living in Chicago and seeing the Fairmont property there. I thought that this brand was a great addition to the lacking (Five-Star) hotel landscape in the country.
The Fairmont is priced similar to the current Five-Star hotels in the metro and the room, facilities, and service is at par with the best of them. My concern is that there really was no defining experience with my stay here if I compare them to my previous stays at the Peninsula and Shangri-La. The Peninsula los angeles county animal shelter is really just effortless luxury, and the Shangri-La (with its famous Circles buffet) is "indulgent". I want a defining experience or feeling to my stay at the Fairmont.
I echoed these same sentiments when I answered the hotel's after-stay survey and I even posted on this blog the GM's response -- harping on the full-service spa and the offer of a complimentary treatment on my next stay (Click here for that).
