Grand Canyon was my dream place to visit for many years. This dream became a reality in the summer of 2001, when a family friend european car rental company and I took a road trip from California to Las Vegas, then from there we took a 4-hour helicopter tour to Grand Canyon. This was the first time I went to Grand Canyon and I brought 15 rolls of slide film and used most of them. Unfortunately I was not very experienced with shooting photos from inside of a helicopter, so most photos came out to be very disappointing. On the Christmas day of the same year, I visited Las Vegas again; instead of spending time gambling in the casino, I took an one-day tour to Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. The trip started from the Las Vegas Airport around 6am, arrived at Grand Canyon national park about one hour later. european car rental company Stayed there for another hour, then flew again, to the Monument Valley National Park. The tour in Monument valley took a bit longer because we had a bus tour inside the valley. Finally we flew back to Las Vegas later afternoon, that was just about to catch the sunset. I repeated the same tour in the following european car rental company year’s Christmas day. For that trip, it was almost cancelled due to the snowy weather, but luckily enough they opened the park and welcomed us for the Christmas day. This was the last time I visited Grand Canyon Monument Valley. These photos were shot in those years when film photography was still dominant, european car rental company and all pictures were shot by my old Minolta 9 film camera and Fuji Velvia slides european car rental company film.
The first photo of this gallery was taken in my ATA flight from New York to Los Angeles in 2001. I believe this was shot about 30,000 feet in the air, and the captain reminded everyone to look outside of window. He was very kind to make a few circles so we had enough time to take out camera and capture what we saw. Sadly the ATA has bankrupted and discontinued its operations since 2008. In 2004, I took a trip to the southern Utah, visited the Red Canyon and Zion National Park. I shot over 15 rolls of slides film, and it was the last time I shot film before everything went into digital . I might post those photos from the Utah trip in a later time.
