We endeavor to make your Big Bear experience a wonderful one and give you personalized attention from the beginning with having someone greet you with a warmed up cabin and a heated jacuzzi. Our jacuzzi is professionally maintained cruise ship health ratings and the water is treated and checked weekly.
Our property is level with only a couple of steps for access. If someone in your group has limitations, there is a double door entry and one queen bedroom, bathroom and jacuzzi all on the downstairs level.
We only own two rentals at Big Bear, the Bear Pad and the Moose Pad. They are shaded and quiet with few neighbors. They are kept pristinely clean and tastefully decorated. The beds are freshly made up for our guests each time. The dishes, cups, tableware & glassware are of excellent restaurant quality. We can usually offer early check in or late check out at no extra charge. We offer a variety of specials especially for returning guests.
Family members, friends and 2 dogs for a total of 22 packed up and welcomed in 2015 at Bear Pad and Moose Pad. We had a fabulous time! These cabins were perfect for our large family and dogs. Rustic and homey. Plenty of sleeping areas between the 2 cabins,5 private bedrooms and a large loft area. 2 bathrooms in each cabin and fully equipped kitchens. Log burning fireplaces, cruise ship health ratings a jacuzzi for each cabin and 2 bbq's. Everything a family needs to really enjoy some quality time. Close to everything in Big Bear, yet a very quiet area. Ask about the "secret forest" It was PERFECT for our young grandchildren. We were so happy we could bring the family dogs also. Tom and Jan the owners are wonderful, and go out of their way to make your experience a positive one. If you are looking for "fancy" this is not your place, however if you are looking for a relaxing, rustic, homey type of cabin you will not be disappointed. It is perfect for large family gatherings. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
We are a family of four (2 elementary school age kids) and a dog and all of us had a great time at Bearpad. The place was away from the chaos of a touristy area, yet close enough to drive to the places to hike, fishing, restaurants, water sports. So many things to do in summer cruise ship health ratings here yet, it was so relaxing. The jacuzzi was definitely cruise ship health ratings a +++! The owners (Jan and Thomas), care taker (Kurt), and a cleaning lady (Debbie) were super nice and attentive. Thanks a lot!!
Overall this place was great, our group of 6 was very comfortable here, it fit all of our needs. Just a few things that prevent the 5-star cruise ship health ratings rating: the pressure in the shower cruise ship health ratings was awful; there was no gas key for the fireplace, the mattresses were rather old (I daresay you'll have that problem at most cabins though), and the hot tub was way too hot with no temperature control. I don't want to be too negative though, we weren't expecting a 5-star hotel. This place is conveniently located (we walked to the circle K daily) and had enough room for 6 adults to hang out, watch TV, play games, and eat together. The decorations are cool and cabin-y (LOVE the coffee table, a bear on his back holding up glass with his feet), and the hot tub was nice for about 15 minutes at a time.
Thank you SaraBeth for the review, sorry about the hot tub, there is a control on the side under a panel, there is a number on the wall by the front door if you had questions or concerns. cruise ship health ratings The city requires us to have water saving shower heads, thus the lower flow, for conservation. The fireplace is wood only, gas is not permitted for safety. Hope this answers your questions and concerns. Thank you again for your stay......hope you will stay with us again!
This place is fantastic! It is close to everything yet far enough away to be quiet. I love the fact that we could park our car right in front of the cabin, it is level AND WE COULD KEEP IT THERE! We road the bus into the village, ski slopes-drop off right in front of the slopes, and where ever in and around cruise ship health ratings town.. It only cost $1.00! Didnt have a hassel or expense of parking. We walked about 3 blocks away from the cabin and there is a wonderful forest with all the sledding you could ever want---WE HAD THE ENTIRE AREA TO OURSELVES! Our kids loved it. The decor of the cabin was great all in Bears! It was warm and comfortable and extremely clean. cruise ship health ratings The owners have everything you need--this is not a paperplate cruise ship health ratings and plastic utensils place, the dishes and pots and pans are better then I have at home. Their housekeeper and handy-man were great--they checked in on us just to make sure everything was OK! When do you get that! The sunken spa was great after a long day of skiing. We are planning to book for next year and this summer before they get all booked-up! Thank you Jan & Tom for a great weekend in the mountains!
Our group consisted of 9 college students, and everyone was very pleased with the cabin. The cabin was very cute and extremely cozy--very suitable for a retreat or gathering for about 10 people. cruise ship health ratings We arrived at around 10pm, and it was very cold in Big Bear; but the owners already had the heater and lights on, which we were very grateful for. The jacuzzi was also already warmed up, and it felt wonderful, especially after skiing for a whole day! The late check-out cruise ship health ratings was definitely a plus since we were all tired from the day before. Lastly, Jan and Tom are very nice people and were very hospitable owners; they made the reservation process and the stay very smooth and easy-going. Thanks a lot!
This is a very clean, cute, comfortable and affordable cabin. Its small, but accomidated the 8 of us very well. The only issue we had was that there was only one shower, but we managed. Our stay here was wonderful. Debbie cruise ship health ratings was very responsive to our needs, even when we got lost. She was just great!!
This was the best vacation we've taken in a while usually we spend our vacation in Rosarito, Mex. But with the way it's been in Mexico no thanks. We had a blast and I relaxed like a king. House was In great shape and neighbors were very help full. Going back this summer cruise ship health ratings thanks guys.
A: No Problem, there is a 3 space level driveway right in front of Bear Pad. If you have more vehicles then that, no worries we own a private parking lot next door at Moose Pad which can hold a total of 5-6 vehicles. This also is a level lot.
A: We have our own handyman that lives only a couple of bl
