The Lakers are in discussions to promote Glenn Carraro from general manager of the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers D-League affiliate, to assistant general manager for the Lakers, according to multiple sources.
The D-Fenders are coming off a great season, losing in the Finals but finishing with a league-record 38 wins for the season. Kupchak credits Carraro is one of the main pieces in getting the D-League team to an elite level, along with coach  Eric Musselma n and team president Joey Buss .
