Fingers crossed that the TSA will see the wisdom/benefit of allowing us to use a digital boarding pa

Just last night both my wife and I were flying into Atlanta from separate airports, and I was able to check the status of her flight while waiting for my flight. Oh, by the way I was also checking my SkyMiles balance and flight schedules for my next trip. You can even make changes to your trips. Actually you can use delta.com on most internet capable mobile devices, not just Blackberry s.
Well we are not there yet, but effective November 6, you will be able to check-in on your mobile device and simply scan the bar code that you save to your PDA or Smart phone at the kiosk and get your boarding pass.
Fingers crossed that the TSA will see the wisdom/benefit of allowing us to use a digital boarding pass. Not only will this help travelers, it will allow airlines keep their costs, and thus our fares, in check and also help the environment (less paper).
cruising locations What Delta.com apps would I like to see on my BlackBerry? Stand-by and flight cruising locations reaccomodation functionality. GPS-based proiximity of Crown Rooms, DL customer service centers, etc. I guess anything and everything related to the flight at hand. Oh, and maybe an app can be created that could let me know if my checked luggage made it, or didn t and if it is onboard, about how long until it will be delivered at the bag claim.
These features sound great, thanks for the update. One quick suggestion regarding the regular Delta.com site. If you check at Northwest's site they let you redeem partner award travel on their website. Are you planning on implementing something similar on Delta.com? I can see all available SkyTeam cruising locations and other partners of theirs and the award availability. A similar feature for Delta.com would be great.
Posting your itins to Outlook, on the list, probably early December! Seat guru is a interesting suggestion, cruising locations but we need to evaluate the load times since it is pretty cruising locations graphic heavy even our own seat maps present some load time issues.
Award redemption for CO/NW has already been implemented on delta.com, but unlikely cruising locations to be added to mobile site do the lack of speed in the mobile space i.e. displaying the calendar could be problematic (note: we did have to pull down CO, but it should be back up real soon).
Ok, back to the ones we haven t thought of GPS locators for Crown Rooms and Bags. We do need to make it easier to locate the Crown Rooms, as they are listed on the mobile site, as well as delta.com, but not easy to get to. I doubt if GPS is an option in the near term, but you never know. As far as baggage, we have a long way to go, to get it right. Although not part of delta.com, I do know that there is an all out effort on the part of Delta to address baggage delivery.
How about either cruising locations an app or web-based app that shows GIDS information for your flight? You would login to the app and if your departure time is withing the hour, it displays GIDS info but specifically for you.
I recently tried hitting cruising locations this from my Iphone. I m not sure if you chose to leave the full version for Safari on Iphone. is there a specific page we could goto if we wanted to force the mobile version such as delta.com/mobile?
Despite the somewhat long load for the seatmaps, I would really like to have the ability to change seats oin the mobile app on my Windows Mobile 5 device. I used to be able to do it on my old Pocket PC, and I miss it terribly. I don t always have access to my laptop or other workstations at my job sites and my phone is the only available option. I check for better seats (or sometimes, just a seat assignment) on a pretty regular basis, so this is a biggie for me!
I was recently delayed arriving in Cincinnati and found not only my connecting flight status but several other folks flights on my crackberry. That was fun because I made a friend to share the long wait with for our next flights.
Is there any thought to making available where our luggage is? We get a barcode sticker, and we could type it in ourselves, but it sure would be nice to know where the luggage is when we are waiting over an hour in Seattle for the luggage to come out.
Regarding the url for delta.com on a mobile device it is in fact delta.com, the same as on a computer. That was by design you might be able to get there from mobile.delta.com, but that is because we have a redirect on that url so in essence a little bit unnecessary.
Good news booking Delta flights on your PDA will be available as early as next week. We have run into a couple cruising locations of items that we wanted to tweak before launch. This option will only be available to SkyMiles customers who have chosen to store their information in their profile, i.e. credit card number, etc. You will not be able to specify cruising locations a specific seat in the mobile cruising locations application, but will be assigned an aisle or window based on your stored preference. We are still working through some details with the TSA regarding mobile check-in, but hope to have those worked out very soon. I appreciate cruising locations the input regarding the text-based seat plan. There is actually a way to locate Crown Rooms, although cruising locations not easy. You can click on the city code when checking flight status we need to make it easier.
