Jacqueline Kennedy (1929-94)stood in front of the Taj Mahal for a photo on a trip to Agra, India, as the first lady of the United States. Her white gloves, turquoise sun dress and '60s hairstyle made for a stark contrast against the white marble backdrop.
Oversized sunglasses, pearl beads, tweed jackets and pillbox hats are images we still associate with the former first lady, who served from 1961 until the assassination of her husband President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

Rare pictures of Jackie taken during her trips are currently on display at the Seoul Auction's Gangnam gallery in Horim Art Center in Sinsa-dong, southern Seoul. Captured by photographer Settimio Garritano, the pictures show a very different, fun-loving side of the former first lady. One captures her in an orange top with a turquoise head scarf, with another showing loews miami beach hotel her in a black top and off-white pants with oversized sunglasses.
