My what a lot of planes have flown over Ramsgate today. I personally find them really irritating and would p refer it if the airport closed for good, but that is just a personal opinion and I know that is not Richard's view. As someone who runs a local business weekend getaways and short cruises employing ten people I feel it does the Ramsgate economy more harm than good to be having British Airways, private jets and cargo planes flying over all day. Heaven knows what it will be like if they agree these night flights. Some of them do not even seem to have markings but here is a list of airlines banned by the EU, I am sure you will spot some of them coming into Manston. a.What regulation says an aircraft weekend getaways and short cruises has to have its company name displayed on its side...erm.. none. b. Why do you think people wil be able to spot some of them coming into Manston??....they won t be coming into Manston! One or two on the list used to ...not anymore, as it says on the list....they are banned from EU airspace! You might want to take care when implying banned airlines use Manston.
I am not aware of having actually said as a fact that banned airlines use Manston so I ll thank you to take a running jump. I am just expressing my opinion that Manston is a pants airport which might well attract pants airlines. After all it is a well known rumour locally that the CIA have used Manston for their awful rendition/torture flights. It is a reasonable conjecture that if they are prepared to do that they might accept banned airlines too.
CIA rendition flights at manston...nonsense, never happened and that is a fact, not some rumour. As for banned airlines, they are just that, the UK CAA are all seeing and all knowing and wouldn t allow them to enter UK airspace let alone land at Manston.

BA flights today were the Airbus A318 used to carry rich bankers from City Airport to New York. The Airbus is a pretty large plane for City s relatively short runway. BA s pilots were practising landing on a 5 degree landing slope instead of the usual 3 degrees to avoid killing other rich bankers in tall building at Canary Wharf. Why not practice at City? They are closed on a Saturday to give East London some peace and quiet. East Londons loss...........

The training flights over Ramsgate this weekend have been horrendous, just when we should be welcoming late season visitors what with the Indian summer we re enjoying. I thought the s106 agreement at Manston banned training flights? Who is responsible and who do I complain to?
Training flights have never been banned...so not a leg to stand on moaning about those. Huh? Well I d like to moan pointlessly weekend getaways and short cruises about them then. They are a right royal pain in the arse and I hope Manston shuts forever and the space becomes an amusement park, or a swimming pool or a wildlife park or a forest or just about anything other than an airport or housing estate. Rasp!
