Yep, I escaped from Minnesota this morning. Hustling my butt out to the Grand Canyon to meet up with Bob Wells and other van dwellers. Bob has called out to all interested in being part of a TV production about van dwelling, national car rentals used car sales so I thought I'd make the trip and see what it's all about.
First they put up this old time style water tower, complete with big red arrow casino national car rentals used car sales sign. When I got close enough to see the place (but too late for a picture) they had built the casino like a big old barn all weather beaten and old looking.
After that I discovered the two major crops for Iowa. Corn... Miles and miles of it. Then there are windmills. Like I saw across Indiana this spring, tall towering windmills harvesting all that wind power.
