We ve always wanted to try the Monte Carlo and we are very happy that we did. The room was so clean and comfortable - not newly renovated - however, when it is redone, it will go from 4 to 5 stars easily. We enjoyed cheap air tickets the casino as well. We didn t walk away with the big jackpot but we sure had a great time trying. The casino is well maintained with a good variety of games. The staff is excellent: professional, hospitable, proficient, etc. When we initially saw the enormity of the check-in line, our hearts fell -- no problem for these folks -- we didn t have time to get tired. Our room was clean and in an excellent state of repair (19-110) and our king sized bed was very comfortable. They also gave us free coupons for 2 for 1 entrees at The Cafe and 2 for 1 tube rentals for the lazy river. We used The Cafe coupons and highly recommend this restaurant. Very tasty! The Cafe also has a happy hour early dinner cheap air tickets menu that is priced right. For $20 you get a 3 course meal. The food court is great for an early and cheap breakfast if you have an excursion to catch. The only disappointing part was that the fountains and entrance to the front of the resort were under construction so we had to use a smaller, less grand side entrance to the resort. The rooms are adequate and the lighting is subdued.The bathrooms are clean and have plenty of everything, the only thing that didn t impress me was the shower head over the bath. It blasted/pummeled water at you from four holes and you could not reduce the pressure. The restaurants here have a great variety of choices and I found all the meals I had were interesting and cooked exactly as I asked for. The pool area has something for everyone from a large pool to a river pool you just float around in and a wave pool. After a day out and about this hotel felt like I was coming home, I felt comfortable and relaxed here. One other thing, the resident show is the Blue Man Group, go and see it , one of the best audience participation shows I was ever in. Read less
