Reviewed By: stevens, north shields on 5th Dec 2013 We sailed from Limassol on 6th November heading for Turkey Crete and Israel.The original itinerary was Egypt and Israel but understandably was changed because atlantic city casino hotelsbook of the problems in Egypt. Our first impressions of the Majesty were good and we received a warm welcome. We had treated ourselves to a junior suite on deck 9 (cabin 918 ) and it was spacious and bright so we were very pleased (more on this later) About the ship itself we loved it. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was really good and we loved the show team. The food was better than we expected atlantic city casino hotelsbook and service in the Seven Seas restaurant was top class. We did like the feeling of more space compared to the Spirit and the Celebration and never had any problems finding atlantic city casino hotelsbook sunbeds which was a real bonus. Drinks quality was fine-we atlantic city casino hotelsbook had the drinks package so if we got a poor drink we could simply get another. So back to the cabin. It really did look good but on the first night the noise from the open deck above was horrendous . Tables and chairs being scraped along a wooden deck all night-it was torture. We were now under the buffet and chair scraping was replaced by trolleys moving to and from the buffet. The only respite was between 2-30am and 6am. Even with earplugs the noise was terrible. We have been on top decks before on other ships and never had this problem-the noise insulation was none existent. Reception sent us a free bottle of wine on our last day-a nice gesture but a little late and we were all inclusive! Since returning home Thomsons offered a 50 voucher initially and increased this to a 100 refund which is a fraction of the cost of the upgrade paid. So whilst we would have no hesitation in recommending the ship we would not consider atlantic city casino hotelsbook a cabin on deck 9 again-it was a waste of money and the extreme noise spoilt what was otherwise a great cruise. We did not like the Majesty layout one little bit - in particular the split Lido buffet and lack of seating, also the show lounge - if you sat forward the spotlights just dazzled you.
