Venezuela has about 3 or 4 domestic airlines. It currently maybe more or less. They don t always fly all the time so it is hard to know which ones are still in business or not. Or have just closed the shop for a few weeks....
Back in January this year, after being unable to get an internal flight from Merida to Caracas, I tried to get a coach. Yet they only sell tickets on the same day for the night bus. I had to queue from 07:00 until 11:00 only to be told they were not sure the bus would run. Come back at 15:00 they said. I did, but no joy.
