Fox Rent-a-Car currently offers hybrids at their 7 locations: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Orange County, San Jose, Oakland, Phoenix. You can rent hybrid versions of the Toyota Camry and unspecified SUVs and Hondas. Fox offers 5% off coupons for hybrid car rentals on their website.
Hertz recently announced that in June 2008 that they will add 2,400 Toyota Prius (which are always hybrid) to their fleet. They are going to be available at 50 locations. Our newly purchased Prius has beat every expectation we had. It is pleasantly quiet and clean throughout in addition to three times miles to a gallon than our last family car and is just as spacious.
