I agree with the Sofitel; it's modern without being obnoxious, and the bright colors are nice, especially when it's 12 degrees and snowing outside. But you left off Hotel Le St. James in Vieux Montreal. I stayed there back in February 2005, and I can easily fast rent a car in dubai say it's my favorite city hotel in North America. I had a superior room (lowest category) but it was still spacious, with vaulted ceilings, huge bathroom with separate tub and shower, and one of those nifty bedside panels that does everything except rub your feet. Definitely one to try next time!
