I don t know if other Drury hotels are as good as this one, but I can say that we enjoyed our stay a

We stayed at the Drury Plaza hotel on the Riverwalk north myrtle beach hotels and found it to be just the ticket. north myrtle beach hotels It is located in the old Alamo National Bank and has both the pros and cons that you would expect from any historic north myrtle beach hotels building. It wasn t new and shiny, but neither did it feel old and dingy.  It has only been a hotel for about four years, so I imagine all the finishes were redone then.  The building maintains its historic charm from its days as a bank.  In particular, on either side of the main entrance are huge, two-story metal plaques.  They feature north myrtle beach hotels brawny men engaged in some sort of physical labor.  One reads Trust binds the nation together and the other reads Thrift drives the nation tomorrow .  I will have to look up the history and see if it made a difference that the bankers saw these signs as they worked.  Perhaps we should make them mandatory in today s banks if it did!   I think it did set the right tone to remind me of the inherent north myrtle beach hotels nobility of mankind as I ate my breakfast each morning.
You pay a premium for staying on the Riverwalk itself, but the Drury came with so many extras.  In the morning, they have a free breakfast 6-9:30 so we would hit that for both breakfast and morning snack.  In the afternoon, they start serving popcorn and sodas (or lemonade) at 3, so that was our afternoon snack.  From 5:30-7, they serve hot snacks such as chicken tenders, egg rolls, baked potatoes, north myrtle beach hotels meatballs, etc.  For the adults, they also have a bar where you can get three drinks a day ( I didn t indulge myself, but the tour crowd was double-fisting it and seemed to approve).  They did also have lettuce, carrot sticks, and celery sticks to go with it, so I didn t feel like a completely negligent mother.  No, it isn t gourmet food, but it couldn t possibly be worst than what is on the kids menu at most restaurants.  We basically just had to buy lunch each day.  If you really wanted to be cheap, you could always make peanut butter north myrtle beach hotels and jelly sandwiches at breakfast (they had all the makings) and take yogurt and fruit with you. I come from the kind of family that will drive several miles out of its way to avoid a fifty cent toll, so the cheapness potential of this hotel did leave me with a slight contact high.
One nice thing that we discovered about the hotel is that it is one of the tallest buildings in San Antonio, so you can find your way from almost anywhere.  I was a little north myrtle beach hotels nervous about getting lost on foot with the kids in a strange city, but I could just look up and figure out where we needed to go.  All the main attractions have signs leading to them, and then I could navigate north myrtle beach hotels home using the skyline. north myrtle beach hotels We were on the 18th floor and it meant that we had an absolutely incredible view of the city at night.  I would put the kids to bed and then watch as the sun set over San Antonio.
The best part of the hotel for John and Grace was the pool on the rooftop.  It was very warm and just a great place to spend the afternoon.  It was a good mix of being fun for them and a treat for me to see the city spread out beneath us.  We would head out in the morning, see the local sites, get some lunch, and then head back to the hotel for the pool.  We would spend a couple of hours there and then go indulge in popcorn and lemonade in the lobby.  I needed the bribe of lemonade to get them out of the pool! Make sure to pack your bathing suit if you stay here.
On the Drury website, they make a big deal out of customer service, but who doesn t?  I have learned to trust the companies that brag about their service the least- I guess it is the cynic in me.  But the Drury really did live up to the hype.  The best thing they do is always have a couple of managers north myrtle beach hotels on duty in the lobby whose job it is to greet people and get things taken care of- stat.  On the night we arrived, there was a river parade going on.  The hotel had set up chairs for its guests so that we wouldn t have to buy a seat.  On the morning that we were leaving, the front desk had called a cab for us.  The cab was running late and I was clearly getting nervous about getting to the airport.  The manager himself was out on the street and got the job done.
I don t know if other Drury hotels are as good as this one, but I can say that we enjoyed north myrtle beach hotels our stay at the Drury Plaza.  I felt that they spent their money where it counted and kept it affordable for families.  The beds were not fancy and stacked with layers of down comforters, but I also wasn t paying $250 a night.   The staff was friendly and while the food was not gourmet, it was free and convenient.
The Drury Plaza is located at 105 South St Mary s Street in San Antonio.  There is also a Drury Inn and Suites that is located just up the River walk.  It looked like it might be a newer building, but when I was reserving it was $5 more a night, so I figured why not go for the cheaper one?  I really dig the history of the old Alamo National Bank building, but if that is not your thing, you can also try the Drury Inn and Suites.  If you do- report back!
Looks like you found a great hotel on the riverwalk not super cheap but well worth it.  How was the breakfast?  I haven t heard a report from John on the scrambled eggs.  And how did you escape getting tickets to Sea World?
There were some healthy choices with breakfast (whole wheat toast, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal) and some not so healthy choices (sausage, north myrtle beach hotels biscuits with gravy). If you chose wisely, you could get a good meal. The eggs were good. In terms of Sea World, north myrtle beach hotels I simply didn t tell them that it was there. I am so screwed when John gets better at reading!
