Can t make any personal contributions sheraton new york hotel and towers but I guy I work (a Singaporean) with said he wouldn t fly with them. That being said you d probably get the same as you would with most of the other cheaper airlines - a Malaysian I work with always flys back to kl for CNY for around 200- 300 return with air Asia (but that is when the deal is on - not all the time), from there it s about 50 to other Asian countries he said
I can t comment on Scoot but I can vouch for AirAsia. I flew 8 flights with them in July to multiple Asian countries. Catch a flight to KL and then hella cheap flights to a stack of Asian countries and provinces. All up was less than 800 (pretty sheraton new york hotel and towers sure my flight to Cambodia was less than 30 which included the 20 departure tax ) and my only issue was kids and babies on my flight home which will happen on any airline.

Flown Scoot a couple times. What you would expect for low cost airline, All seems fairly safe amd clean. The planes are ex singapore airline planes from what i beleive. Only real downside is the flight attendant and light buttons are on the inside of armrest and people constantly are leaning on them. Good luck trying to sleep with constant beeping and lights flashing in your eyes.
