The guys had so much fun together, they decided to keep this new band, The Traveling Wilburys, toget

Something sort of magical happened in the beginning of 1988. Long time friends Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, and George Harrison got together at Dylan's house to record a b-side for Harrison's latest single. It was mostly planned- all except for Petty's accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas involvement. He was a tag along; Harrison had forgotten his guitar at Petty's house Tom went with him back to Dylan's and made it on the record. Who's going to say no to Tom Petty?
The guys had so much fun together, they decided to keep this new band, The Traveling Wilburys, together. Adopting Wilbury as a surname they all chose outlandish first names to pair it with, which they have changed for each of their releases. Their debut ('Traveling Wilburys Vol 1') was not surprisingly an instant success- winning awards, accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas hitting triple platinum status. Interestingly, the LP was recorded inside, and outside in the garden, of the home of Dave Stewart, the dude from the Eurythmics. (Cue Twilight Zone theme song there. I mean, seriously- picturing all these people together is already blowing my mind- now I gotta picture them at Dave Stewart's house?) Their happiness was short lived however, as Roy Orbison passed away just weeks after it's release.
Many thought the Wilburys done, but they returned two years later, tastefully leaving Roy's spot vacant. The four piece put out 'Traveling Wilburys Vol 3' in late 1990, confusing accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas many with its misleading title (there's no Vol 2, promise). Touring followed, but the effort was not nearly as successful as their debut.
By about 2000, both the Wilburys albums were rare and all but out of print. Harrison held the rights to the music and for one reason or another would not reissue; it wasn't until after his death that they again became available in the box set 'The Traveling Wilburys accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas Collection'. accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas The set includes both LPs, bonus material, and a full length DVD, and was a top seller in several countries.
Good chance you've all heard the Traveling Wilburys. Sometimes accommodation in holiday homes in tuscany villas our job here is just to make you go "Ooohhh right- I forgot about these guys. They were good!". I'd never looked into their origins- being familiar with all the members, why would ya? But I found the details to be funny, interesting, and down right whacky. The drummers never get mentioned with these guys, though, they weren't (in the publics eye) putting the "super" in supergroup. Allow me to give a shout out. On their albums you've got Jim Keltner- one of those awesome studio musicians who's played with everyone (all those in the band plus Ry Cooder, Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, BB King, on on on) but never gets any credit. George's son Dhani Harrison also appears on a couple tracks.
If you're lost, read the official intro , or try the updated (and snarky) mission statement. I would recommend playing the first video in each post as you read the entry... but I'm not sure I'm allowed to give instructions on how to read a blog.
