Marriott dives into economy segment with Moxy Sequestration cuts could deal blow to hotels The evolv

On what do I base this observation? Data, my friends. The brain trust over at Expion, which helps companies more effectively manage their social presences for a living, just conducted the second round of their hotel-industry analysis exclusively for HotelNewsNow.com.
The most recent analysis examines the Facebook posting behaviors car rental best one way rates of eight major brands during the fourth quarter, during which Marriott Hotels Resorts generated nearly double as many fan actions (i.e. comments, posts, likes and shares) per post as the next closest brand.
The result is a score of 27.19 in what Expion calls the fan action index a metric that measures each brand based on its level of engagement with followers. (Note: While the overall index is based on a scale of 100, the Expion team tells me a score of 27.19 is still incredible. Scoring anywhere close to 100 is virtually impossible, they said.)
A reading car rental best one way rates of 27.19 is a homerun. The second-highest score was achieved by Hilton Hotels Resorts; call its 16.17 fan-action-index rating a stand-up triple. From there, the numbers drop off significantly
To further underscore Marriott s dominance on the platform, consider this: The brand claimed car rental best one way rates 77 of the top 100 most engaging posts for the quarter. That s incredible. Hilton, which again ranked second, had only 20, followed by Best Western with two and InterContinental Hotels and Resorts with one.
While the average number of Facebook posts during Q4 was down to 62.8 from 67 a quarter ago, the average number car rental best one way rates of fan actions per post increased from 317 in Q3 to 366 in Q4. Looking at the data, one might deduce that hotel brands are getting better at creating actionable car rental best one way rates posts. (Quality over quantity!)
Expion is going to continue conducting this analysis for us in future quarters, so it will be interesting to track how performance shifts across time. There s a long road ahead, but Marriott and to a lesser extent, Hilton clearly has set the pace.
