Regarding drinking being a priority over airline food I had free access to the bar on a Japan Airlin

whilst i agree scootbiz is probably not the fanciest business class, in fact it is just a bigger, more comfy chair they have inflight upgrades available for about $100 AUD (Syd Sin) from eco - scootbiz disney world lodging if there are seats available, which is a fantastic deal as this comes with the blanket, eye cover, neck pillow ($25), food and drinks ($25+). =D
Can I just ask, why this is such a great bargain when standby upgrades to Scootbiz disney world lodging are a mere $99? A Fly price for an April date is about $520 and Scootbiz, disney world lodging with the discount, is $782. Even WITH FlyBagEat, it s only $583, so you re paying about $200 - $250 more for Scootbiz when you can get the upgrade at the airport for $99
What s more, is that Scootbiz will be far more packed because of the perceived saving so you re better off saving your money and just getting a S-T-R-E-T-C-H disney world lodging seat (the yellow ones), since these aren t purchased as much.
Sorry OP, I really did want to like this deal, but logically, I can t see how this is a bargain. If Scootbiz is much better that a S-T-R-E-T-C-H seat then maybe it s justifiable, but Scootbiz just offers slightly more legroom, and that s it. Period.
Also there are no more free iPads handed out for entertainment any more, and the pillow and blanket are just really trivial. $250 for a fraction more of an inch and a more crowded cabin? No thank you. Stick with FlyBagEat and S-T-R-E-T-C-H if you want need the extra space.
So you d pay $200+ more, just to save between 10 to 40 minutes in check-in? I mean, sure, you re checked in faster, but then you end up having to join the economy queue when it comes to customs and security anyway (no Express Track for Scootbiz). Then after that, you re all waiting for the same plane, in the same place (Scootbiz doesn t have lounge access).
Priority check-in makes sense if there s an Express Pass waiting and a lounge ahead. Scoot offers neither. The only thing it offers is for you to (pointlessly) act tall and mighty over the economy people for 2 minutes, and allows you to reach the MacDonalds queue maybe 30 seconds before the economy passenger behind you.
So sure, book Scootbiz if you like, but all you get is literally disney world lodging 2 minutes of (unjustified) entitlement at priority check-in. You eat the same food as the EatFlyBag people, and it cost the same $22SGD to rent an iPad as the Fly People . So as you spend $250 to enjoy your 2 minutes at check-in, the guy who booked a S-T-R-E-T-C-H seat gets the same seat pitch as you, most likely one or two other seats next to him free, whilst you re jammed pack in Scootbiz with other people who feel they ve snagged a bargain.
It s pointless to try and tell someone about an airline when they flatly believe they know better. It s simple: I m saying (many times now) to NOT book Scootbiz as it s nominally better than EatFlyBag on S-T-R-E-T-C-H. If you believe that width in a crammed cabin is better than having two or three seats to yourself in S-T-R-E-T-C-H, then you re entitled to that.
And in regards to the $99 standby upgrade. As stated before (sounding like broken record), you shouldn t even be doing it since EatFlyBag is enough, but if you (for some unknown reason) prefer Scootbiz at the last minute, you can do so at the check-in desk instead disney world lodging of pre-booking online, since the product difference is so nominal (hence why would you pre-book Scootbiz in the first place?).
Just remember that S-T-R-E-T-C-H are bulkhead seats with 38 of seat pitch. The reason disney world lodging these are comparable, or even better than Scootbiz is (1) same pitch as Scootbiz (2) No-one to recline disney world lodging their seat onto you. You ll still get reclined on, on pretty much all of the Scootbiz seats, so not very advantageous over the economy S-T-R-E-C-H
I haven t eaten KFC in years, but it would have been better than the dried out rubbish served when I have flown. disney world lodging As the discount arm of Singapore Airlines (known for its food) it came as a shock. I was attending the Singapore Food Festival. Was not a good start.
Regarding drinking being a priority over airline food I had free access to the bar on a Japan Airlines flight Narita to Heathrow - maybe because I was a lot bigger than the hosties, who were too polite to ask for the bottle of 12 year old whiskey back. Happily dispensed it to my new friends, and one for me. I will never drink alcohol on a flight again! I never knew I could make such a mess of all walls floor of a toilet!! (I know - too much detail.) Arriving drunk / hung-over is the worst. Now I have respect for those who have to put up with people like me.
I ll stick with the food if reasonable, and most is. Just that Scoots is the worst I have tried on any airline. Being served purple rice porridge gruel with just a salted plum floating in it, on a cheap China Eastern Airlines flight Beijing to Seoul, was preferable to what I attempted to eat on Scoot. I spat out my first mouthful of all cooked meals. Would never try again.
Have packed muesli bars, dried fruit will drink water on my Scoot flight to SIN. Will make me look forward to an evening of wonderful food in Little India, or maybe a Chilli Crab! Now thats worth waiting an 8 hour flight for. I don t think any airline food can compare with that.
