turkey travel Everyone likes to carry a little cash on them even while on vacation. That has always been the norm but in the current economy we have to be more aware of pick pockets and pack smart and safe even in terms of our money.
Tips #1 – Carry a travel wallet. If you're like me and your everyday wallet is full of rewards cards for all of your favorite stores and coupons, you need a travel wallet. Your travel wallet is a stripped down version with your trip s money necessities. Included in your travel wallet should be your ID, 2 credit cards, and a little cash (in small denominations). The less you carry in your travel wallet, the less you have to replace if it is lost/stolen.
Tip # 2 – Divide your money and credit cards and carry them in separate places. Life rule…never put all your eggs in one basket. The same goes for money/valuables while traveling. Carry some cash and a credit card in your travel wallet and some in your carry-on bag. This way if either is lost/stolen or misplaced you still have some money to get you to your destination/hotel where you can regroup.
Tip #3 – Use on body storage and anti-theft bags. When traveling to known pick pocket turkey travel destinations (like some European countries) or if you are staying in a hotel without an in-room safe, on body storage bags/purses are an excellent way to protect your valuables. Fanny packs are out kids! (lol) The new sleeker bags/pouches that you can hide under clothes are awesome. Check out the passport buddy by Store Smart (personal organization section). You can carry your passport, ID, cash, and more underneath your clothes with this comfortable and durable anti-theft case/bag.
Tip #4 – Use money alternatives when possible. The golden rule of travel is to never use your debit card when traveling. That's why I am a fan of using pre-paid debit cards. There are several on the market, but my favorite is the American Express pre-paid card. It gives users all the security and perks of the credit card with the advantage of pre-loading a specific budgeted amount for travel. It is also accepted worldwide at the same locations as the American turkey travel Express card. If lost or stolen, your funds are instantly replaced.
