Orlando, FL - When Walt Disney first made Orlando one of America's premier tourist destinations, visitors who ate kosher had to bring their own food. Over the years, the options increased with the opening of at least two kosher restaurants.
This new venture began when the management team at the Holiday Inn noticed that they were receiving a large number of inquiries about kosher catering and decided to find someone with experience in the kosher catering industry. car rental europe discount Dave and Jody Unger, of Kosher Kats Marketplace, a father and daughter team who have been successfully operating Kosher Kats Marketplace out of Longwood, FL for over 10 years, will be managing the only glatt kosher kitchen on hotel grounds in Orlando.
The Kosher Kitchen will offer its patrons a full array of Glatt Kosher dining with options for both visitors and the local Orthodox community. "We are extremely car rental europe discount excited to launch this kitchen in an area which receives many kosher visitors," said David Unger. Orlando has the second largest convention center in the U.S. and sees a lot of kosher consumers traveling through on business.
The Kosher Kitchen will offer guests many options: guests can order single or family meals ahead of time or can organize larger events such as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, family reunions, and other events. The hotel, which can accommodate up to 1200 people, has 670 rooms in two buildings, car rental europe discount an 8-story building and a second building which has only 2 floors of rooms in order to accommodate people who observe Shabbat. The Holiday Inn has set aside these rooms as Shabbat rooms, where the elevators will be turned off for Shabbos, the hotel rooms do not have electronic locks, and there is easy access car rental europe discount to stairwells. "The management staff at the Holiday Inn is extremely sensitive to the needs of Orthodox, Kosher Jews," said Unger. The Kosher Kitchen will be staffed with a Mashgiach Temidi car rental europe discount and is under Orthodox Rabbinical Supervision. The Kosher Kitchen will officially be open for business starting November 15th, 2008.
Shame on you, You cry that nobody respects your religion the way you want and when someone car rental europe discount finally bends backward to service you and your people with 5 stars you spit at him and make fun. You are causing a National Cillul Hashem and are therefore MEAKEV the GEULA.
there used to be a kosher restauarant in epcot? it was a middle eastern place. it was under the OU. I don't know if it still serving kosher food but I remember it was good. anyone remember this place?
I am so glad to see this! have a family member for whom we are involved in medical tourism, traveling car rental europe discount from where we live to florida to see a specialist, not far from Orlando. Kosher food has been a challenge for us on these trips, and now we will be much more comfortable. One less hassle to deal with! So, no, it is not always about Disney. We have been down there several times in 3 years and have not been to Disney, sea world, parrot jungle, Cape Canaveral, nothing, just the airport, the supermarket, the doctor and the airport again. my wish is that no one ever have to be involved in medical tourism. I would rather go to Disney!
Great news. Please also try to arrange Minyonim for Shachris Mincha and Mariv. Also Shabbos car rental europe discount Minyonim. I've visited Orlando many times and have arranged Minyonim at various places, you'll be amazed how many people will join you to daven. I once arranged car rental europe discount a Minche minian right in front of Magic Kingdom and they even anounced it on the PA system. It started with only 10 Yidden by the time we finished we had over 45 mispalelim (excluding car rental europe discount Mickey Mouse) Me Keamcho Yisroel. Kol Hakavod . Eat Kosher Live Longer. We also have to give credit to EastSide Koshar for providing us with Kosher food and Minyonim thruout car rental europe discount the years. Thanks to the Mor family. BTW there are more than 35,000 Jews living in the Orlando vicinity. Lets pray that we will be zoche to the Brocho of Mekabeitz Nidchei Amo Yisroel, BBA
There happens to be a Vaad Harrabonim in Orlando (RCF) which oversees all kashrus, kiddushin and geirushin in the area. In fact, they are the only Orthodox Rabbonim in Orlando. I think it says something that this Kosher Katz is not under their hechsher.
Ah this is great..I used to stand by the reststop searching for a 10ten,,a 10t person to mitsarif for a minyan now I will be able to have a minyan at the Hilton and have a lechaim after that like a real chosid

If they do not have a reliable Hechsher, then the initial poster should say so. Instead, the poster just made a general dismissive comment with no explanation car rental europe discount or back-up. BTW, as far as I know, the Rav of the Va'ad of Orlando is the local Chabad Rav. While I have no problem car rental europe discount with this, I could understand a place wanting a different Hechsher.
It is great that there is a new kosher venue in Orlando - Those who make nasty comments like ..Kosher" chazer fisel" only prove why the Haredi community is looked down upon. There was a motel years ago in Orlando that had a glatt kosher place in it, and they had a minyan everyday as well.

The Rav of the Vaad is the local Chabad Rabbi for good reason; he's the only frum Rabbi in town! No problem with someone wanting a different hechsher - unless that means they're creating their own! It's simply way too easy to put on a yarmulke and claim that kashrus is more important than your salary... Especially when the customers are mostly tourists and don't come around enough to know what your true values are. Do yourself a favor - check who's backing up the Hashgocha that you're trusting...
