Fast forward to today and we see that the industry has chosen the hybrid platform as the next genera

Think about this…the becoming a certified travel agent first hybrid was introduced to the US market back in the 2000 model year.  That was 14 years ago!  Personally I can't believe that this much time has passed since the first Honda Insight was rolled out.  Toyota becoming a certified travel agent quickly followed with the Prius model in 2001, and then the race was officially on.
Fast forward to today and we see that the industry has chosen the hybrid platform as the next generation fuel saving technology.  The industry chose hybrid the same way the electronics industry chose DVD, leaving the other digital mediums in the dust (remember Laserdisc anyone?)  Rarely do we hear about solar cars, natural gas powered engines or fuel cells.  These technologies did not gain traction, and technologies becoming a certified travel agent like fuel cells still need time to be flushed out.
There are more hybrids today than ever.  Every major car company has introduced hybrid models.  Ford with the Fusion Hybrid and Escape Hybrid. becoming a certified travel agent Honda with the Civic Hybrid, Insight and Accord Hybrid.  Even the most luxurious auto brands like Lexus have hybrid versions of their flagship, the LS600h.  What does this mean for me, you ask?  It means that there are more options for used hybrids no matter what your budget will allow.  More on this later.
Some of you are probably thinking about reliability.  Do we know enough about these cars?  This is totally understandable, and in fact I was thinking the same thing up until about a month ago.  It turns out the reliability of these hybrids is very good.  The models that have been out for a number of years all rate 5 out of 5 at MSN Autos .  So with that, let's look at some great hybrid finds that are ripe for the taking.
The Toyota Prius is clearly the perennial favorite in the hybrid space.  It's practically the face of hybrids.  I know that everyone is not on board with the styling of the Prius, and to that I say…no problem!  Keep an eye out further down the article to see sedans and SUVs to suit your taste.
This car is just beautiful without any of the futuristic looks to it.  It's just a clean sporty looking becoming a certified travel agent sedan that happens to be a hybrid.  This is the one for that person that wants a hybrid for themselves, not just for the person that wants to show off that they are "doing their part for the environment"!
This is the large SUV for those who are looking for luxury, extra room and fuel-sipping gas mileage.  This model gets 20 mpg city thanks to the hybrid motor.  The regular engine becoming a certified travel agent gets on 15 mpg city.  That kind of a difference can make add up quick!
