My son Aiden turned one just one day apart from my in-laws 30th wedding anniversary, so we planned a family vacation in Mexico at Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa All Inclusive to celebrate both occasions. Aiden was just a little guy, taking some of his first toddling little steps during our layover. The perfect age to go on a family vacation in my opinion he was still too little to be too crazy, and still free on my lap on the airplane! By the time we left the resort everyone knew Aiden’s name. The whole staff was so friendly; they really made the visit memorable.
Dreams Cancun is right at the tip of the peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides. It’s such an amazing location. It’s about half an hour from downtown and within walking distance to shopping and clubs downtown. And if you want to go somewhere that is a little further orlando hotel deals away, it’s very easy to take the bus or a taxi.
Dreams is an all-inclusive resort , so everything you eat and drink is included while you are there. When I was younger, pre-family, I didn’t understand the concept of all-inclusive orlando hotel deals resorts. Why would I want to stay at my property when there was so much to explore? Boy has my mind changed after having kids. Can I just say, I love all-inclusive resorts for family vacations, with the joy of not having to figure out what’s for dinner or how to get there. The ultimate in day planning, I’m given a daily schedule of all the activities, and if I’m interested I can join, or if not I can keep on lounging by the pool.
But the most fantastic part for most families is that the kids are treated like little celebrities. Dreams hotels have kids clubs , which are filled with daily activities. There is so much for them to do even movie nights on the beach with a giant inflatable screen. I kept thinking that we would have to come back when Aiden is older because the kids were so happy in the kids club that they seemed almost disappointed to see their parents when it was time to go. In addition to the kids club, the resort has a dolphin swim program right on the property. I loved Dreams Cancun and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or go back myself.
Aiden and I have just a week between our birthdays. And this year, three years after our vacation, I was daydreaming about beaches. I decided orlando hotel deals this time around we were celebrating my birthday no kids allowed. I decided to go to Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa All Inclusive , a family-friendly all-inclusive resort that just opened orlando hotel deals in October. It was a great deal since they just opened, and I just can’t turn down a great deal. I didn’t bring the kids, but like I said, I do have grand plans of bringing them along next time, so I couldn’t help but check out the kids club.
The resort has a whole area for kids that is great for playing and exploring – it’s even called the Explorer’s Club. They’ve got things to climb on and even one of those bungee trampoline things. Most importantly, in my mind they have pagers. It seems awfully convenient to be able to drop off your little angel to go have fun, and know that if you are needed you can be paged. The kids club is open almost all day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and there is always something planned for the kids. They print out the activities in the daily schedule, so it’s easy to know what your kids might like to do and take them for that part of the day.
