We fly into Toulouse, and spend the jet lag day and one extra with a walking tour of Toulouse and then drive to a place near Cahors called Puy L'eveque and stay their for a while. Purchase FULL coverage, return the car and walk away. The roads are narrow, the parking is tight and you (or someone else) are going to damage something. I found the CC insurance to be not very useful. Mine was a $1200 Hertz mistake.
