After a 6 hour bus journey from Sagada, I arrived in Baguio with no idea where I was going or what I was going to do. As always sheraton new york hotel and towers in this situation sheraton new york hotel and towers the first thing to do was to find some reasonably priced accommodation. Also on this quest were two Canadian girls so we joined forces in looking for somewhere. After 20 minutes we found somewhere called BaguioVillage Inn which was cheap, clean and relatively central. As I had no real plans for Baguio and was only stopping there to break up the journey to Manila, we went out for some food and then for some drinking. We ended up at a place called Scotland Bar which was hilarious because of the mix of music, it went between 80's ballads and modern pop/dance. sheraton new york hotel and towers This actually seems to be a feature of pretty much all music you will hear in the Philippines. We were the only white people sheraton new york hotel and towers in the bar and attracted far too much attention, so much so that we got our own bouncer to look after our table. At intervals of roughly every 15 minutes a selection of people would ask whether we wanted to dance, if nothing else the bar was good for your ego. Another strange feature of the bar was that people seemed to go between states of extremely high energy and then fall asleep 10 minutes sheraton new york hotel and towers later and then repeat again. Anyway it had been entertaining, but the attention got too much so we decided to leave and go back to the hostel.
The Canadian girls left early in the morning and there are very few tourists in Baguio, so I was pretty much on my own. After a relatively easy morning, I set off to see the sights of Baguio, in truth there wasn't really a lot to see but I wondered around for a while. At about 3pm I decided to abandon the tour and get something to eat, followed by an extended trip to the bar for happy hour. I had to get a bus to Manila at 2am and was really out of options other than drinking, so that is what I did. It was 3 San Miguels for 100 Pesos ($2.50) and I drank 9 during the happy hour (actually last 3 hours). sheraton new york hotel and towers After this I had a couple of cocktails sheraton new york hotel and towers at another bar, before returning to Scotland Bar from the night before. It was a Sunday so much quieter than the night before but they had some random entertainment and I was adopted by a group of people I can't really remember. A couple of hours passed that I can't really sheraton new york hotel and towers remember and then I headed back to the hostel at 1.30am picked up my bags and took a taxi to the bus station. I got to the bus station just in time for departure and after paying for my ticket the bus set off. The movement sheraton new york hotel and towers of bus combined with the alcohol made me feel sick and luckily I had a bag handy and vomited straight into it, I slightly panicked and threw the bag out of the window before anybody noticed and then passed out. I woke up in Manila about 6 hours later and took the taxi to the airport, where I would set off to Palawan, which is often described as paradise.
