This hotel could not have been more beautiful. The staff was extraordinarily accommodating. The room was tasteful and beautifully kept. I needed to make a quick reservation for a hotel and had to bring both our dogs last minute. With most pet friendly hotels you may sub par accommodations but with Westin Bonaventure, they not only pampered us but our dogs. Each of our dogs had their own plush dog bed brought up by the staff once we checked in. And there was no extra charge for our dogs to stay. I will surely stay here again when I am in the area. Love it, love it!!!
Good location, however the first impression was no light in the room, the light bulb was death. The next day, no hot water in the bathroom. Yes, everyone is friendly but it is an old building in need of good maintenance and TLC. The food in the restaurant is low quality and not cheap. This contemporary-style, relatively new hotel was comfortable and conveniently located great value for the price. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. A trolly right outside the door was a great way to see downtown Memphis. A cute park square is located across the street. I was asked some time ago by a young, trendy and frankly snobbish nephew of mine why I choose to stay at the Peninsula when I m in NYC. The Peninsula is a nice place to return to, even if your NY visits are not frequent, they make you feel welcome. Welcome back to the Peninsula, might be the required greeting for the staff at the front desk, but it s a nice personal touch nonetheless. This place is not about flash, but about feeling well cared for. It s luxury said in a whisper.
We stayed at Omni in Austin for my birthday weekend. Check in was very easy, room was excellent, stylish hotels in boston staff was awesome. On Saturday we returned to our room and the staff has sent me a delicious piece of chocolate cake, strawberries with whip cream and a card signed by staff. I was very impressed.
Beautiful historical hotel. Have to keep in mind it is old and the rooms and bathrooms are small. Shower sucks but everything else in room was fine. Valet is slow and expensive so prepare twenty minutes before. Other than that it was a good hotel.
