What we found while eating our way through the city is that food in Denmark isn t really about Danis

Copenhagen is as close to utopia as you can get. Everything about the city just seems to function. No chaos. No stress. Just calm. Danes have even recently been ranked as the happiest people on Earth. It ticks the boxes for a city break without all the commotion like in some of Europe's big cities. The Danes live with the mentality "not too much, not too little". You won't see Mayfair-style opulent extravagance but you also won't see too much homelessness or poverty. You do still have the elegance of old in the historic Bredgade car rental companies in tampa florida and Store Kongensgade area. The city is a beautiful collage of Copenhagen's immense history mixed with new design the Danes are famous for. Denmark has an admirable society that stays true to their values and culture but embraces progression. We've compiled some top tips from the locals to get you out of the tourist traps and to see what Copenhagen really has to offer.
Copenhagen is a very small city. You can stay further out of town to get a better rate and still get to town in 15 minutes. One of our favorite hotels is truly original:  Hotel Fox . It opened in 2005 in an association with VW to celebrate its new car, The Fox. They unleashed 21 international artists on the hotel's 61 blank rooms who were given complete creative control while the hotel had to wait until they were finished to see the results. In one of our rooms we had a punching bag and the other looked like a Turkish bath. The hotel's staff treats you like you are at home. If you need an umbrella, just ask the front desk. Do you feel like taking your buffet breakfast upstairs? Go for it. This is the furthest from a corporate hotel chain as you can get. The hotel is right in the middle of town so the only transport you need is your feet. Rates are a bargain; prices start from £55 including breakfast.
A half-island where you can only get to by bike or walking no public transportation goes there and you can t go there by car. They do beach parties in the summer and they have an impressive patio where there s music, food, and drinks. This would be the place to go for a first date to impress a lady.
It s an area in Copenhagen (vest means west, bro means bridge so basically the area is called that because it s to the West of the bridge). There is the Planetarium that has a lovely café and steps right by the water a great place to hang out with friends. There are also some great independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Where one of our favourite bars in the world are (See in Nightlife). This historic port, where once was the Red Light District, is now home to some of Copenhagen's best nightlife spots. Definitely car rental companies in tampa florida the place to go at night.
One of our favourite markets in Copenhagen car rental companies in tampa florida is Torvehallerne. The indoor car rental companies in tampa florida food market is a foodie paradise. There is plenty to choose car rental companies in tampa florida from. Everything is of excellent quality and value. Right next to it there is a full open-air car rental companies in tampa florida market with much more than just food. Try Danish oysters, they are meant to be the best in the world.
One of the best sandwiches, an open-faced sandwich piled high with char-grilled pork called the Cubano, we've ever had was at the Laundromat Café in the hip, SoHo-like area of Nørrebro. It's a café with a laundromat so you can get a bite to eat or do some work while you wait for your laundry. Its great corner location makes it a cool place to stop by for a quick bite or drink and people watch. We also love The Living Room in Studiestræde. They make tasty drinks and sandwiches that you can enjoy in their two-story lounge. On the steps inside they have loads of flyers featuring local events and shows. It s a great hub to find what s on in town.
We stumbled upon two true speakeasies. The Union Bar , in the historic port of Nyhavn, doesn't have any signs outside or advertising car rental companies in tampa florida of any sort (the address is on the bottom of this page). When you approach the address, there is a blank black door with a few doorbells. Ring the bells and the correct one will open the door. You'll follow voices down the corridor to a little door on the left, walk down the small staircase car rental companies in tampa florida and you are instantly transformed to 1920's New York. The cocktails are delicious and it's a great place to mingle with locals. The other, Ruby's , is one of our all-time favourite bars. In fact, it was just ranked in the 50 best bars in the world. It s hidden in the Georgian Embassy so look out for the Georgian flag outside and you re there. The decor is like the gentleman-only clubs of old. Velvet armchairs and elk-heads set the mood for a sophisticated evening. Make your way downstairs to find the old bank vault converted into an incredible drinking room and the outside lounge with the clear Danish sky above.
One of our favorite meals in CPH has been off a truck. The DØP , Danish Organic Sausage Man, hot dog stands cook up some of the best hot dogs we've had. This is a Danish specialty. Our tip, get a Ristede Hot Dog with everything. It traditionally comes with crispy onions, ketchup, mustard, sweet remoulade, raw onions, and thinly sliced pickels. The two locations opened by Claus, the owner, car rental companies in tampa florida in 2010 only serve organic products. In 2010 they were voted Best New Eatery beating a few of Copenhagen s new Michelin-Star restaurants. For another Danish specialty try the open-faced sandwiches at Aamanns café . Open-faced sandwiches, Smørbrød, are tasty, light, and beautifully arranged. For one of the best burgers we ve had, head to Halifax . Everything is made from scratch and delicious. Each burger is themed from a different city. Our favourites are the Copenhagen and the Zürich.
What we found while eating our way through car rental companies in tampa florida the city is that food in Denmark isn t really about Danish food. We saw restaurants fusing Nordic tastes with foreign cuisines. car rental companies in tampa florida It s a beautiful way to experience familiar flavours while embracing the local culture.
Two of our favourite fine dining restaurants in CPH are in fact Italian. Il Gambero Rosso is a quaint traditional Southern Italian restaurant on Amagerbrogade. car rental companies in tampa florida The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is excellent as well. The other, Altopalato car rental companies in tampa florida in the posh area of Hellerup, is very different. The Northern Italian and more modern restaurant is equally delicious. The food is true to its Italian roots yet adds a modern European flare. We haven't found an Italian restaurant in London with food quite as good as either of these places. We are also in love with two restaurants, car rental companies in tampa florida MASH and Le Sommelier , from the group Copenhagen Concepts. MASH is a Danish take on the American steak house. Choose from Uruguayan, Angus, Wagyu, or Danish beef. Our favourite is the heavily aged Danish Long-Bone Rib-Eye. The Danish beef has a velvety and rich flavour uncommon to American and British beef. Le Sommelier blew us away with their fusion of Nordic and French flavours. The bright and welcoming restaurant is true to its name with an exceptional wine list. We left our waitress to pick our wines and they were excellent. Our favourite dish there was the Foie Gras, pan-fried with a beetroot sauce, a perfect
