I have passed by it numerous times, always making a mental note to try this separate ticked event. I'm talking about one of Disney's most popular venues, the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. (Also known as the Wishes Dessert Party) This event made its debut on June 23 rd , 2009, running on select days. It has become so popular hotels discount that until August 28 th , 2011 it is being held every night.
Most guests know that the best place to view the "Wishes" fireworks show in right on Main St. looking straight up to the Castle. But there is another spot; many think is just as desirable, if not better. That place is right on the bottom third tier dining area of the Tomorrowland Noodle Station. For years Guests have gathered here to watch the show; well Disney took notice and decided hotels discount what a wonderful place to have a private dessert buffet and give guests the chance hotels discount view the fireworks away from the crowds on Main St. along with some top-notch refreshments to boot.
The party seats 160 Guests hotels discount all along the lower tier of the Noodle Station. As you wait, Cast Members will check your reservation off and tie a wristband around you and your party members. Once you enter, your table is pre-assigned, waiting with your name card on it. Some of the goodies you will experience are…  Fresh melon pineapple, Pistachio crème brulee, Brownies, Chocolate chip cookies, Chocolate mousse, Key lime tarts, Italian Canola's, cheesecakes, Rice Crispy treats and what seems like a crowd favorite, Chocolate covered strawberries. All these treats can be washed down at the Coffee hotels discount and tea beverage station hotels discount and of course a station with cool beverages as lemonade, ice tea, water etc.
We sampled almost everything offered, and there is something for everyone. The dessert spread reminded me of the Disney Cruise ship, where is the last time I saw so many treats in one place! You can go back and enjoy as much as you want, but the best is yet to come. The view from the Terrace is breathtaking, giving guests an unhindered view of the castle. hotels discount There is enough room for all to see and you can use your camera tripods if desired. I have witnessed the fireworks from this location for many years and personally, I think it's the best view! Cast Members will keep the food replenished during the show, but once over, so are the goodies.
Here are the details about the Dessert Party. First, they do take walk-ups on a first-come, first-serve basis. But with the enormous popularity of the event, I would not count on getting in. The best bet is to call for reservations at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).  There is also a 24 hour cancellation notice. hotels discount Prices for the event are…$27.68 for Guests ages 10 and older and $14.90 for Guests ages 9 and under. Park admission to Magic Kingdom Park is required. As with all Disney locations, special dietary needs can be addressed.  Let the Cast Member know at time of booking the party. The event does not offer kosher choices, nor is the Disney Dining plan accepted.
Would I attend the Dessert Party again, and do I think it's worth it. Yes on both counts! This experience was top-notch. Many advantages of the party are…Not fighting the crowds on Main St. the terrace is protection from the elements, although a big storm will cancel the fireworks. hotels discount There is a photo pass photographer on hand for pics of you and the castle. Tinkerbelle flies right over the party; it's the best view of her trip in the park. It's nice to sit, relax and enjoy drinks and desserts while waiting for the fireworks, no jostling for position on the street.
