I guess I could pay for a cab to the airport, take a shuttle from the airport to the off-site car rental place, drive back to the hotel then do the opposite the next day but I�m hoping someone here has a better suggestion.
That'd be more convenient than cabbing back and forth to the airport, but I don't know if would be less expensive. I priced out a 1 day mid-week hertz car rental canada rental in July and the base rate for picking up and dropping off at PH was about $15 more than at the airport.
I was wondering when they would announce their new partner. To save money on a rental, I wanted to drop off the dollar rent a car at MGM after a few days, but that was a no go in July. It did let me drop it off at TI though. so, if I decide to use this option, I will hit a breakfast buffet hertz car rental canada at Orleans or Gold Coast then drop off the car at TI, and work my way back to MGM on foot.
Unless something drastic happens, you are looking at an expensive rental in July if you dont have a reservation already. I got a 5 day rental reserved at Dollar for $190 and at Advantage for $167, and a three day rental (drop off at TI) reserved for $110. A five day rental including fees is now about $350.
I read in USA Today that during the recession rental car places cut back on inventory, and now that demand has gone back up some the prices are going up. Also, the earthquake in Japan has hurt the supply of vehicles for the rental companies.
Has anyone here used both Advantage and Dollar and be willing to compare their experiences with both? I really like Alamo and Dollar since I can go straight to the garage and pick out my own car. Can you do this with Advantage? I dont see where I can get a program card from Advantage, but I can do the check-in online.
