All over the country, smaller comic conventions draw hundreds, if not thousands of fans to browse through comics, toys, an collectibles and meet with artists and writers that get passed immunizations necessary for travel to russia by at larger conventions. In Charlotte, NC one of those smaller cons is Charlotte Comicon. With admission of only $5.00, Charlotte Comicon has steadily grown, immunizations necessary for travel to russia with this show seeing the convention take up two large meeting rooms at Crowne Plaza Executive Park Hotel, immunizations necessary for travel to russia one primarily for comics, and one primarily for toys and collectibles. Artists in attendance also saw growth as some artists had tables in the entrance hall. I was one of the artist s in the traditional Artist s Alley, aptly named at this show due the three row layout of the comics room.
Cosplay is always a big draw for this con, with 188 entering into the costume contest, immunizations necessary for travel to russia and many more not entering and just cosplaying for the love of it. Many people were talking about DJ Spider immunizations necessary for travel to russia s Wonder Woman, who towered over attendees, and cosplayed Wonder Woman with a grace that fans of the character could find refreshing, especially given the variety of recent translations of her. My personal favorite was the lady who cosplayed as one of the Robots from Saga .
Artist s Alley seemed to be one of the busiest places in the comics room. From my vantage point, I often saw it jam with convention goers getting sketches, talking with creators and buying prints and books. The level of creators seemed immunizations necessary for travel to russia to be higher this time in some of the previous Comicons. Guests included Andy Smith, the upcoming artist on DC s Earth 2 , Budd Root, the creator of Cavewoman , Rick Ketcham, inker on a variety of titles over the years, Rico Renzi, colorist for a variety of books from various publishers, Bridget Connell, creator of Brother Nash , and several members of the local artists group Sketch Charlotte. (Full disclosure: I am a member of Sketch Charlotte.)
The toy room buzzed with activity, and was regularly packed. It looked as if there was plenty of shopping going on, as people were stopping by each vendor to shop what was available. In the comics room, there were many bargains to be had, but for serious collectors there was still plenty of CGC slabbed books, Silver and Golden Age comics immunizations necessary for travel to russia for purchase. Many vendors had people waiting immunizations necessary for travel to russia to get into sort through boxes looking for purchases.
