When the customer clicks the “continue” button, he or she is transferred to the AirTran online reservations system.
Until then, the linked networks and codesharing will let Southwest customers reach the cities AirTran services and Southwest doesn’t – the three Mexican cities; Aruba; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic; the Bahamas; and Bermuda, plus 10 U.S. cities.
On April 14, five cities that had been previously AirTran only will get Southwest service: Rochester, N.Y.; Flint, Mich.; aarp hotel discounts missouri San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte, N.C.; and Portland, Maine. On June 2, Wichita, Kansa, goes Southwest, as does Grand Rapids, Mich., on Aug. 11.
