The Nerels perform The Rolling Stones' The Last Time (just released that week in US) and The Kingsmen' Louie Louie, at their school talent show and won, judging by the screams and applauds. However, the officials awarded the win to some conservative act. For fear of audience protest, they awarded them honorable mention.
The Jynx lip-synched four songs: 'Little Girl', 'And My Baby's Gone', 'Just Like Me' and 'I'll Go Crazy', previously recorded that same month at Roland Janes' Sonic Studios on Madison Avenue, Memphis , and later released posthumously on a 10-inch vinyl EP titled: 'Greatest Hits!' (Norton cheap last minute airline fares Records; 2000). This tracks were later re-issued on the compilation album: 'Garage Beat '66, Vol. 2: Chicks Are for Kids!' (Sundazed Music CD, 2004).

The Jokers used to filling in for The Hombres, El Toro's cheap last minute airline fares house band, when the latter toured.
