The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has announced plans for a 34-city tour of North America with an eclectic supporting lineup on reserve. The band's summer 2009 season launches on July 5 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI, and continues through September 18 with a performance at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC.
RJA's itinerary includes a July 17 concert at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH, a July 25 show at Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City, OK, a July 31 performance at The Marquee in Tempe, AZ, an August 4 session at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, and an August 21 event at Eagle Theater in Pontiac, MI.
The tour bus will veer north of the boarder for a total of six performances, mostly dinner cruises in key west near the end of the run. Those dates include an August 12 show at Richard's on Richards Cabaret in Vancouver, BC, and an August 18 concert at Pyramid Cabaret in Winnipeg, MB.
Rap-rock outfit Hollywood Undead will support the July leg of the tour, except RJA's festival performances. Meanwhile, post-hardcore band Monty Are I jumps on the bandwagon for the entire month of August, after the August 1 concert at Henderson Events Plaza in Henderson, dinner cruises in key west NV.
RJA is touring behind its second full-length studio album, "Lonely Road." Released in February 2009, the album hit No. 14 on the Billboard 200. It is also the band's final effort to feature former rhythm guitarist Elias Reidy, who left the group in October 2008 to pursue a solo career.
"We like to mix unpredictability with the comfort dinner cruises in key west and melody people want to feel when they hear a song," lead vocalist Ronnie Winter said of the band's sound on its official Web site . "You can't just be crazy, ridiculous. You have to stick to the point musically and make the song catchy to the listener."
