I ve had the TodayTix app for a few weeks and used it this week when my son was in town visiting. We decided we wanted to see a show at the last-minute, and I don t like waiting on the long line at the tkts discount singles cruise vacations booth. It was the perfect time to use TodayTix.
When you open the app, all shows are listed, but you can narrow it down to play, musical, price, etc. When you scroll down through each show they show the days for one week and any day that is sold out will have a slash through it. You will see the lowest price ticket available for the show. If interested, tap the show and then the day and you will see the exact prices. You can choose the section of the theater you want, but you will not know the seat until you get there.
My family decided to see  The Cripple of Inishmaan  starring Danielle Radcliffe. Ordering and paying through the app was simple. I then received instructions of exactly where the concierge would meet us and what he would be wearing. A picture was included (see below) to make it very easy. We met right next to the theater and they all wear bright red tee or sweat shirts with the TodayTix app logo on it. He could not have been friendlier. We didn t have to wait on the box office line to pick up will call tickets. And we had pretty much the best seats in the house (center orchestra, row D).
When you scroll down to the bottom of the TodayTix app , you come to the shows that have no availability for the entire week. Some shows live there, such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Book of Mormon and Aladdin. But it can t hurt to hope.
Granted, I only had one experience with the TodayTix app , but that experience was perfect. I could not have been happier.
