GLASGOW Two men sustained chemical burns in a wreck Wednesday of what police are calling a mobile meth lab. Doug Chaplin, 32, of 256 Rolling cancun all inclusive hotels Hills Road, Glasgow, and William David Gipson Jr., 37, of Franklin, were injured in the wreck, cancun all inclusive hotels which occurred on Ky. 100 about 9:45 a.m. Police said the men were burned by ingredients used to make methamphetamine. Chaplin was traveling east on Ky. 100 in a 1999 Dodge Durango when he lost control of his SUV on a curve causing it to leave the roadway and go off a bridge landing in the middle of a creek, according to Allen County Sheriff Sam Carter. The exact cause of the wreck has not yet been determined. "I don't know if it was drug related or what," Carter said, adding he is waiting on toxicology reports. "Everything imaginable came forward in the truck and splashed on them," Carter said. "Even the dash was eat up by the acid." Passing motorists noticed the car in the creek and stopped to help the men as well as notify emergency officials. The men, who were on parole for other charges, face multiple charges in Allen County. Carter said he will be seeking arrest warrants against the men.
