US investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the passengers are being held at an unknown

Two U.S. officials tell ABC News the U.S. believes that the shutdown of two communication systems happened separately on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. One source said this indicates the plane did not come out of the sky because of a catastrophic failure.
It s not clear what the indication sleep inn maingate hotel was, but senior administration officials told ABC News the missing Malaysian flight continued to ping a satellite on an hourly basis after it lost contact with radar. The Boeing 777 jetliners are equipped with what is called the Airplane Health Management system in which they ping a satellite every hour. The number of pings would indicate how long the plane stayed aloft.
You can read more at the link, but this makes me wonder if US intelligence agencies have access to this data from all airliners that ping these satellites?  Also something that should sleep inn maingate hotel be embarrassing for both the Malaysians and the Thais is that this aircraft apparently flew across their countries without any of their military or civilian radars even picking it up.  If it was and they are not disclosing this fact then why was the airplane not intercepted?  In the post-9/11 age you would think that any airliner that vanishes and then is tracked by military radar would be immediately intercepted .  As it stands if this plane was hijacked sleep inn maingate hotel the terrorists could have flown it right into the Petronas Towers .  However, you look at it, it is pretty embarrassing for the Malaysians and Thais if this is what happened.  Finally with the hijacking angle being revived why would someone hijack the plane and then crash it into the Indian Ocean and not take responsibility for it?
New evidence has indicated that the transponder of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was shut down deliberately rather than as a result of a catastrophic failure, with officials citing sabotage and hijacking.
Two sources told Reuters that military radar plotted the airliner off Malaysia s northwest coast. The last plot recorded on the aircraft suggested that its flight path was destined sleep inn maingate hotel for the Andaman Islands.
When asked about the possibility of the aircraft being flown towards the archipelago at a press conference, sleep inn maingate hotel Malaysian Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein was coy in his answer.  [ International Business Times ]
I have never been to the Andaman Islands so I cannot say that a plane the size of a 777 could land there without anyone noticing, but it seems it would be difficult sleep inn maingate hotel and unlikely.  However, it would have landed at night which would have made it harder to notice.  The next question would be is why go through the trouble of hijacking a plane and landing it in the Andaman Islands?  The only thing I can think of is that there is something valuable enough on the airplane to warrant taking sleep inn maingate hotel such a risk.  If so what is it?  The flight was going to Beijing which raises eyebrows.  Once again this is a very strange case that I cannot remember anything close to this ever happening before.

The transponder got shut off right at the handoff between Malaysia and Vietnam to buy time. It made a U-turn yet followed established flight corridors at proper altitudes so as not to draw attention.
sleep inn maingate hotel China accidently releases obviously dumbed down and bogus satellite photos to draw attention to the other side of the penensula. America pretends to search an area that has so much traffic that it needs no searching while they bring in additional assets.
Hmmm, you know it might just be that you re a little in the ways of thinking there s some type of shannanigans going on that could possibly extend to the level of a global conspiracy. I don t know just a feeling I m getting.
Has anything about this incident been normal? Have the responses of any party involved been a thoughtful and rational action except for appearances? Has any information released been truthful or accurate or has it been misdirection sleep inn maingate hotel that conveniently evolved?
There IS a conspiracy going on a conspiracy of shared values as everybody does one thing on the surface but postures themselves differently to accomplish goals that are currently unclear as the goal was never searching for a plane everybody knew was not in an area that has such high shipping traffic that it would have been noticed in a day or two if not hours.
The plane went to Coco Island sleep inn maingate hotel (Myanmar, sleep inn maingate hotel not Australia), unloaded cargo, and crashed in the Indian Ocean maybe. The runway is long enough for a skilled pilot to land on maybe not take off unless the plane was greatly lightened.
@4- Interesting theory but doing some Googling the aircraft would need a runway 2.46 kilometers long and the one on Great Coco Island which is believed to be a Chinese military base is 1.34 kilometers. So it could not land there without going off the runway into the ocean.
There is an underground hatch door just outside the c*ck p*t door which leads to the E E where you can switch off the transponder and power to other things such as entertainment, and course map for passengers etc and a simple or certain type of scr*wdriver is all you need to open it.
A kilometer is 3280 ft, so that s around 1.07 km. I really doubt a 777 needs over twice that range. I m sure it depends sleep inn maingate hotel on conditions like weight but in a pinch they could dump fuel. I really doubt it landed anywhere but I don t think it s beyond the realm of possibility they could land on a 1.34 km strip.
ChickenHead I m not saying sleep inn maingate hotel you re crazy. This is probably the weirdest plane incident in a long time. Haven t heard of this kind of thing since back around after the WW2 days when everyone was just implementing radar.
sleep inn maingate hotel They are also confirming that Malaysian radar picked sleep inn maingate hotel up the plane flying over the peninsula which makes you first wonder why no one did anything to intercept a plane that was not supposed to be there? Secondly why did Malaysia spend so much time searching the South China Sea when their radar picked up the airplane crossing the peninsula. The likely answer was that no one was paying attention and they had to go and back and analyze the stored radar data later on to discover it crossed over the peninsula.
The Malaysians are also saying that the plane gave a ping to a satellite sleep inn maingate hotel 7.5 hours after it disappeared which means it flew a very long ways. According to the data the plane could have either flow all the way to Kazakhstan or over Indonesia to the Southern Ocean. Flying to Kazakhstan seems hard to believe considering I would think mainland India and the Chinese would have radar operating along their contested Himalayan borders that would have picked this plane up. Flying to the vast Southern Ocean on the other hand is a great place to dispose of a plane if that is what the hijacker s intent was.
A plane doesn t have to be at a certain altitude after take off. It has to clear the obstacles in it s path. All the pilot has to do is get the plane off the ground. He can fly as low as he wants over water.
“There’s a lot of World War II airfields left over,” he said. “They might want to hold the plane for ransom or hold the passengers for ransom, sleep inn maingate hotel or they might want load the airplane up with high explosives and fly the airplane into a target someplace.”
Whatever sleep inn maingate hotel the case, as stated in my first comment on the matter, this is going to cause a 9/11 style change in the Asian aviation industry in some ways (security) sleep inn maingate hotel and globally (realtime satellite GPS for all).
Once again, there are people and organizations that have a very good idea and everything else in the media is (and has been) bullshyt and the reporters are in on the bullshyt either through laziness, ignorance, or as paid agents of whoever feeds them stories to push to the public (from governments to lobbyists to corporations).
The amazing thing about this whole story is not that the plane is missing it is about how screwed up some groups are, how gullible others are, how ignorant others are, how poor at their job others are, and hiw manipulative the minority is.
We are not stupid sleep inn maingate hotel so we see why the transponder was turned off right at the handoff between Malaysia and Vietnam. The people involved, who do this professionally, recognized the significance of this within hours or less.
the flight endurance of 7-8 hours presupposes normal sleep inn maingate hotel flight up where the radar can see you. much thinner air, lower coefficient of friction. flying below the radar requires higher power settings and 2-5 times as much fuel depending on a number sleep inn maingate hotel of factors. if the plane was still reporting airborn at 7.5 hours, it must have landed, refueled, and taken off again.
US investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the passengers are being held at an unknown location and suggest that faint ‘pings’ were being transmitted for several hours after the flight lost contact with the ground.
Almost all indications are the airliner is on the bottom of the Indian ocean. I would think terrorists would do this and not the pilots. This would explain keeping the passengers/crew at bay while the plane flew so long to its ultimate demise.
The ends of this arc are based on maximum possible sleep inn maingate hotel flight distance. The center of this arc, over Malaysia and surrounding areas is ruled out due to coverage overlap from a satellite over the Pacific which did not receive a signal. The southern part of this arc is covered by high-quality Australian radar which doesn t seem to have seen anything. The northern part of this arc also requires going through some high-quality radar.
Everything was shut down at handover between Malaysia and Vietnam. The cabin was depressurized until the passengers were dead. The plane flew back across Mala
