A Thrifty Car Rental franchise network partnered with the Australian government to be one of two suppliers as part of a three-year contract for car rental services, according to a company announcement on July 2.
Thrifty is the only 100% Australian international car rental brand, owned wholly by the NSW-based NRMA Motoring and Services, said Thrifty s National Sales Manager Martin Buckland. This announcement by the government is a testimony to the improvements that have been made in the years NRMA has owned our business and also to the strength of our locally owned and operated franchise network.
The contract complements Thrifty s other key accounts such as our exclusive partnership with Australia s seven motoring clubs, as member travel is predominantly leisure and often on weekends, while the government business car rental in anchorage alaska will be mainly car rental in anchorage alaska Monday to Friday, Buckland said. So, all of Thrifty s customers will enjoy the benefit of our upcoming investment in extra fleet, new technology and infrastructure.
An event at Chrysler’s Chelsea Proving Grounds offered a walk-around of the new Ram ProMaster City, a Ram ProMaster test drive, a test of diesel fuel economy and, finally, a worthy trial for a Power Wagon.
